Today: Sunny, Hazy, Breezy, 20% Chance For Heavy Showers — Mild To Moderate Saharan Dust; 32°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect sunny, hazy and at times, breezy conditions today (Thursday 16th July, 2026), interrupted by partly cloudy periods with a few showers. There is a low (20%) chance of isolated heavy showers. Tonight will be mostly fair, despite isolated showers.
In the event of heavy showers, gusty winds are likely and street/flash flooding is possible in areas so prone.
The Met Office notes that the concentration of Saharan dust is expected to fluctuate between mild to moderate. Persons sensitive to changes in air quality are advised to take the appropriate precautions.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 32°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 31°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 1.5m to 2m in open waters and below 1m in sheltered areas.
