High-Grade Cannabis Seized During SOE Operation In St. James
A quantity of high-grade compressed cannabis was seized in the Western Division, during an intelligence-led operation conducted in the St. James district last night (Wednesday 1st January, 2025).
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the operation, spearheaded by ACP ‘Tactical Support’ Collis Hazel, co-ordinated by Snr. Supt. Montrichard, Supt. Frank and ASP Pierre and supervised by Insps. Piquette and Haynes, was conducted around 7:45 PM on Wednesday.During the exercise, Officers conducted a search of a house, located at Kandahar Street, St. James, which resulted in the discovery of a suitcase, a black garbage bag and a crocus bag.
Further checks revealed the bags contained seventy (70) packages of cannabis, with a combined weight of 36.6 kilogrammes.
Investigations are continuing.
