Today’s Weather: Cloudy, Overcast, 40% - 60% Chance For Heavy Afternoon Showers; 29°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), Trinidad can expect cloudy to overcast conditions today (Wednesday 1st January, 2025) with light to moderate showers/periods of rain. There is the medium (40% - 60%) chance of afternoon heavier showers and/or thunderstorms. Tonight will be mostly settled despite a few showers.
The Met Office notes that gusty winds, street/flash flooding and localized ponding can be expected in/near heavy showers/thunderstorms.
An Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) is in effect until Friday evening (3rd January, 2025).
As for Tobago, cloudy interruptions can be expected today with showers/periods of rain. There is also the low (30%) chance of the isolated afternoon heavier shower/thunderstorm. Tonight will be partly cloudy despite isolated showers.

The forecast maximum temperature today will be 29°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 30°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 1.5m to 2m in open waters and up to 1m in sheltered areas.
