23-Year-Old Man Shot Dead At Car Wash In Barataria, Another Wounded
A man is dead and another wounded following a shooting incident in Barataria this afternoon (Thursday 13th February, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Elijah Sambury.
According to reports, Sambury and another man were at the tent at a car wash on Seventh Avenue, when a black Nissan Tiida hatchback drove up to them, around 2:15 PM. Gunmen then opened fire with automatic weapons, hitting Sambury and the other man.Sambury was shot several times about the body and died instantly. The second man was conveyed to Hospital for emergency medical treatment by passers-by.
Police were notified and Officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force and the Barataria CID responded to the scene, along with crime scene investigators.
