Cannabis Trees Seized In South-Western Division — FIVE (5) Arrested

Police have arrested five (5) suspects and seized a quantity of cannabis trees and seedlings during anti-crime exercises in the South-Western Division on Sunday (23rd February, 2025).

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), during the operation, Officers seized 107 seedlings and seventeen (17) mature cannabis trees at a residence on Beach Road, Palo Seco. This led to the arrest of three (3) suspects, ages between twenty-four (24) and forty-three (43).

Additionally, two (2) men, ages thirty (30) and fifty (50), were also arrested as persons of interest. 

The operation was co-ordinated by Senior Superintendent Thompson, Superintendent Cumberbatch, Assistant Superintendents Forbes, Corrie, and Ramdass, along with Inspectors Prescott and Morales. It was supervised by Inspector John, Sergeants Rajkumar, Paul, Banmally, and Khadaroo, with participation from Officers of the Penal Police, South-Western Division Task Force (SWDTF), and K-9 Unit. Officers from the Santa Flora and Erin Police Stations also took part in the exercise.
