Here’s The 5-Day Weather Outlook For T&T — From Wednesday Through Sunday
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), the North Atlantic sub-tropical high-pressure cell is expected to be the dominant influence across the tropical North Atlantic during this outlook period. Mostly high pressure is expected to remain across the Lesser Antilles. With a well-formed and strong high pressure cell setting up a relatively straight and unhindered fetch, we can expect breezy to windy conditions. Varying low-level convergence and patches of moisture advection are likely to be the main features for any precipitation production during the outlook period. A moderate concentration of Saharan dust is likely to remain during this outlook period.
The seas in the open waters to the near-East and Northeast of Trinidad and Tobago are presently near 2.5m. For this outlook period, the seas in the open waters are likely to be between 2.5m and 3m.
Marine interests are advised to continue to exercise caution.
The near-surface to the mid-level wind is expected to be generally moderate to strong at times for this outlook period. Breezy to windy conditions are likely to develop and at times can become gusty, especially over elevated terrain or in the vicinity of any shower that might occur.
The Met Office notes that the Saharan dust concentration is presently mostly mild, occasionally moderate. From today (Tuesday 25th March, 2025), the concentration is expected to rise to generally moderate for the remainder of this outlook period.
Persons sensitive to the changes in the dust concentration are advised to take the necessary precautions.
For this outlook period, mostly fair, hazy and at times breezy to windy conditions are expected. Although noticeable wind ventilation is likely, the maximum daytime temperatures are forecast to hover around 33°C and can be a bit higher in built-up areas during the afternoons. Direct exposure to the incoming solar radiation (insolation) will also be a factor in the “feels like” temperature (heat index).
Patches of moisture advection, together with varying surface convergence interacting with the local topographies are likely to produce a few brief (light or moderate) showers over varying areas. Even with the likelihood of a few brief showers, the probability for brush or bush fires remains elevated.
