Businessman Shot Dead In Valencia After Refusing To Pay ‘Tax’ — Police Investigating
A businessman is dead following a shooting incident in his yard in Valencia last night (Tuesday 23rd September, 2025). The deceased has been identified as Rasheed Ali of Plantation Road, Valencia. He was said to be a truck and backhoe owner.
According to reports, Ali was at home when he was ambushed and shot in his yard, around 10:30 PM.
Police and Emergency Health Services were notified. However, Ali succumbed to his injuries.
Further reports state that he was recently approached by unscrupulous individuals who demanded he pay them a “tax” (extortion money), which Ali refused to pay. Days later, unknown persons reportedly tampered with his vehicles by placing foreign substances into the fuel tanks.
Investigations are continuing into Ali’s murder.
