Today: Sunny, Hazy, 60% Chance For Thunderstorm Activity — Mild Saharan Dust; 33°C Max

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), sunny conditions with a light haze today (Sunday 28th September, 2025) will be interrupted by partly cloudy to cloudy periods, accompanied by a few light to moderate showers. There is a medium (60%) chance of isolated thunderstorm activity. Tonight will be mostly fair, despite isolated showers.

The Met Office notes the following: 

  1. In the event of thunderstorms, gusty winds are likely and street/flash flooding may occur in areas so prone.
  2. Persons sensitive to changes in air quality should take the appropriate precautions for a mild concentration of Saharan dust.

The forecast maximum temperature today will be 33°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 32°C at Crown Point in Tobago. 

Seas are moderate with waves 1m to 1.5m in open waters and up to 1m and choppy during showers in sheltered areas.
