Prime Minister the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, MP, took the world stage today (Friday 26th September, 2025) at the 80th United Nations General Assembly, delivering our country’s National Statement at the UN’s Headquarters in New York.

Accompanying the Prime Minister to New York is Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, the Honourable Sean Sobers MP, Minister of Public Utilities and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Honourable Barry Padarath MP, Minister of Legal Affairs, the Honourable Saddam Hosein MP, Minister of Public Admin and AI, the Honourable Dominic Smith and Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs and in the Office of the Prime Minister, Nicholas Morris MP, as well as T&T's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Neil Parsan.

The Honourable Jearlean John, Minister of Works and Infrastructure, is acting as Prime Minister until Mrs. Persad-Bissessar returns from the United Nations.
