Alcohol Increases: Carib And Stag Now $13, Guinness And Heineken Hit $22
Carib Brewery Limited has announced a price adjustment on select beverages, days after the Honourable Davendranath Tancoo, M.P., Minister of Finance, announced an increase in Parliament on excise duty of alcoholic drinks, on Monday (13th October, 2025). Legal Notice No. 376 increased excise duty from TT $5.14 to TT $10.28 per litre.
Carib Brewery said the new suggested retail prices are effective from today (Thursday 16th October, 2025) and apply only to products where necessary.
Some of the notable pricing adjustments are as follows:
- Malta and Shandy will retail at TT $10;
- Carib and Stag will retail at TT $13;
- Royal Extra Stout will retail at TT $15; and
- Guinness and Heineken will retail at TT $22.
Products with no price change include Smirnoff Ice, Caribe Hard Cider, Vitamalt, Ginseng, Smalta, Heineken 0.0, and Rockstone Tonic Wine.

Carib Brewery said it remains committed to maintaining the pricing of products not affected by the adjustment and keeping communication open with the public, partners, and stakeholders.
