T&TEC: NO Electricity On Tuesday In Parts of North, East And South Trinidad

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of Maraval, Woodbrook, Mt. Lambert, Mt. Hope, Valencia, North Oropouche/Matura, Moruga and Guayaguayare on Tuesday (28th October, 2025). This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works. 

According to T&TEC, the affected areas in Maraval, Woodbrook, Mt. Lambert, Mt. Hope, Valencia, North Oropouche/Matura, Moruga and Guayaguayare are as follows: 

MARAVAL (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

  • Zone 1: Along Saddle Road: From Woodland Terrace Junction to Estate 101, including Woodland Terrace, Ridgewood, Dickson Terrace, La Rive, Anguilla Park and all associated side streets.

MARAVAL (7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM)

  • Zone 2: Along Saddle Road: From Massy Stores to Morne Coco Junction, including Maraval R.C. Primary School, Our Lady of Lourdes, Church Street and all associated side streets.

MARAVAL (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) 

  • Zone 3: Along Saddle Road: From Woodland Terrace to Monique's Guest House, including Lynch Drive, WASA Maraval Water Treatment Plant, Hillsboro, Fifth Street and all associated side streets.
  • Note: This work will necessitate a traffic interruption from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for vehicles and pedestrians along Saddle Road, Maraval, between Lynch Drive and Anguilla Park.
  • Drivers and pedestrians are advised to follow the guidance of the Police Officers on duty.

WOODBROOK (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) 

  • Along Robert Street between LP #71 and LP #73, including Luis Street between LP #16 and LP #12.

MT. LAMBERT (9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM)

  • From 1st Street to 11th Street to LP #180 to LP #67A along Eastern Main Road, inclusive of Bushe Street, Irving Street, Maloney Street, Hollis Avenue, Byatt Street, Gordon Street, Grant Avenue, Mt. Lambert Circular Road, Mt. Hope Road, Bermudez Biscuit Factory and all associated side streets.

MT. HOPE (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

  • From LP #180 to LP #193 along Eastern Main Road, inclusive of WASA, Caribbean Packaging Industries Limited, Food Basket Supermarket, Mt. Hope Secondary School, Standard Distributors Limited, Abel Building Solutions, Trinidad Match Limited, Maingot Street, Breezy Heights Apartments, Hillsdale Crescent and all associated side streets.

VALENCIA (8:30 AM to 3:00 PM)

  • Oropouche Road, including Valencia Secondary School.

NORTH OROPOUCHE/MATURA (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM)

  • Valencia Main Road, North Oropouche from North Oropouche Substation heading East unto Toco Main Road, Matura and then heading North up to Carib Glass Works Factory, Matura, inclusive of all associated side streets.

MORUGA (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

  • From LP #232 St. Mary's Village, Moruga to LP #109 Rochard Douglas Road, including Poui Trace, Gunness Trace, Strange Trace, Cumuto Road South, Cumuto Road North, Spencer Avenue, Hamilton Trace, Branch Trace, Jaggan Trace, Teelucksingh Trace, Subratie Trace, Surprise Trace, Wright Trace, Floyd Trace, Bhattan Trace, Douglas Trace, Realize Road, Cunjal South Trace, Cunjal Trace North, Gopaul Branch Trace, Assiah Trace, Nanan South Trace, Oropouche South Trace, Ramlal Trace, Gilbert Trace, Mathbar Trace, Jaipaulsingh Road, Oropouche River Road North and all associated side streets.

  • From LP #348 to LP #79, Isthmus Road, Guayaguayare, including Hydrotech, Southern Offshore Services, Baker Hugh, DAMUS old compound, Galeota Field, Trinity Tank Farm, EOG Resources, bpTT, Coast Guard Road, Isthmus Street, and all associated side streets.
  • From LP #349 Calmapas Village, Guayaguayare to LP #429, Guayaguayare Road, Guayaguayare, including Galeota Complex, TIS Massy, Vespry Extension, Ferrier Circular Road, Rustville, Marcelle Ridge, Schoener's Road, Lizard Spring Road, Trinity Fields, Edward Trace Main Field Road, and all associated side streets.
  • From LP #312 to LP #349, Newlands Village, Guayaguayare, including Lennox Compound, La Savannah Circular, Nurse Trace, Warck Street, Glenco Drive, and all associated side streets.

T&TEC says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by these interruptions.
