Met Office Issues Adverse Weather Alert For SIXTEEN (16) Hours From Early Tuesday Morning

UPDATE (25/11/25 - 10:15 AM): Unsettled conditions are ongoing across various parts of both islands with gusts in excess of 55 Km/hr already experienced in Tobago. These conditions are expected to continue, with occasional showers and periods of rain of varying intensities throughout the period. There is a medium (70%) chance of isolated heavy showers or thunderstorm activity.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued an Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) for sixteen (16) hours on Tuesday (25th November, 2025). The Alert begins at 5:00 AM on Tuesday morning and will remain in effect until 9:00 PM for Trinidad and Tobago.

According to the Met Office, unsettled conditions are expected with occasional heavy showers and periods of rain, likely reaching peak intensity during Tuesday afternoon. There is a medium (60%) chance of isolated thunderstorm activity.

Impacts

  • Gusty winds in excess of 55 Km/hr can occur in the vicinity of heavy showers/thunderstorms, which may displace loose outdoor items and agitate seas. 
  • Heavy downpours can lead to street/flash flooding as well as localized ponding, and may trigger landslides/landslips along vulnerable areas.

The Met Office notes that the most impactful weather is expected within this period (5:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday), however, showery spells are still forecast before and after the timeframe.
