22-Year-Old Man Charged With Robbery With Aggravation; Granted $65,000 Bail

A 22-year-old man of Sangre Grande has appeared before a Masters’ Court, charged with robbery with aggravation, which allegedly occurred on 15th December, 2025.

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Shakquan Park, 22, of North Eastern Settlement, appeared before Master Indira Chinebas at the Sangre Grande Masters’ Court, charged with the offence of robbery with aggravation on Friday (19th December, 2025).

Park was granted bail in the sum of $65,000 with surety.

The charge stems from a report of robbery with aggravation, which occurred in the Sangre Grande district. According to Police reports, the victim was hired by Park — who is known to the victim — to transport him to Immortelle Crescent, North Eastern Settlement.

Upon arrival, the accused allegedly exited the vehicle, opened the driver’s door, removed the keys, and ordered the victim out of the vehicle. The vehicle was then reportedly surrounded by several unknown individuals. Fearing for his life, the victim fled the scene.

The victim subsequently flagged down a taxi and was taken to the Sangre Grande Police Station, where a report was made.

Moments later, Officers on mobile patrol, led by Cpl. Khan, observed the suspect, who was arrested and the stolen vehicle recovered. Following investigations, PC Boyd received advice that Park be charged with robbery with aggravation on Thursday (18th December, 2025).

Following his Court appearance, Park was ordered to have no contact with the virtual complainant and to remain at least 500 feet away from him.

The TTPS said, “This arrest represents a success for the Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department, due to swift and responsive Policing. The investigation was supervised by Inspector Harper, Ag. Sgt. Maharaj, Ag. Sgt. Jupiter, Cpl. Khan, Cpl. Mahadeo, W/Ag. Cpl. Rique, and W/Ag. Cpl. Stephen-Sammy.”
