Transport Ministry Denies Reports of Increase In Licence Renewal Fees

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MTCA) is advising the public that the image circulating online titled “New Permit Renewal Fees (Effective January 1, 2026)” is FAKE.

In a statement issued today (Wednesday 31st December, 2025), the Ministry said it “confirms that no notice regarding an increase in permit or licence renewal fees has been issued.”

Members of the public are urged to disregard these false claims, avoid sharing the misinformation, and verify any updates only through official Government channels.
