Education Ministry: Successful Completion of SEA 2026 Examinations

The Ministry of Education said 17,573 students were registered to write the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) examination on Thursday (26th March, 2026), at 547 centres nationwide. This cohort comprised 8,885 males and 8,688 females, across eight (8) educational districts.

In a Media Release following the examination on Thursday, the Ministry said Dr. the Honourable Michael Dowlath, Minister of Education, “extends congratulations to all candidates, as well as sincere appreciation to the personnel responsible for the successful administration of the examination.”

According to Minister Dowlath, “On behalf of the Ministry of Education, I commend all students who sat the SEA 2026 examination today [Thursday]. Today, you have shown not only what you have learned, but who you are becoming — focused, capable, and prepared for the future. Continue to strive for excellence.”

The Ministry said it “also acknowledges the invaluable support provided by key stakeholders, including the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA), and Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC), whose collaboration helped to ensure that examination centres were adequately prepared and that the process proceeded smoothly across the country.”

The Ministry notes that it provided comprehensive accommodations for a total of 465 candidates with special needs, through approved Special Assessment Arrangements (Concessions) aimed at ensuring equitable access to the examination for all candidates.

Parents and guardians were reminded to securely retain students' admission slips, as these contain the necessary credentials to access SEA results online.

The Media Release concluded by saying, “The Ministry of Education extends congratulations to all 17,573 students and commends them for their dedication and perseverance in successfully completing the 2026 SEA Examination.”
