58-Year-Old Man Dies After Falling Off Precipice Near Moruga Home

A man is dead after falling approximately twelve (12) feet off a precipice near his home in Moruga last night (Tuesday 14th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old Ralphie Kadill of Harper Trace, St. Mary’s Village, Moruga.

According to Kadill’s niece, Ruth Kadill, the family believes he may have fallen asleep while relaxing on a retaining wall and rolled over the edge. She recalled that earlier in the evening, she and Kadill’s 17-year-old daughter were sitting with him on the wall.

Ruth said Kadill may have been intoxicated at the time. She later left them and went inside, while his daughter remained with him before also going indoors.

However, less than half an hour later, the teenager returned outside but did not see her father. A search was launched and Kadill was found at the bottom of the precipice, shortly before 8:00 PM. Ruth said blood and fluid were coming from his nose. While they attempted CPR, no pulse was detected.

An Ambulance was called, but due to uncertainty about its arrival time at the location, family members decided to take Kadill directly to the Princes Town Health Facility. A Paramedic provided guidance over the phone and Kadill was subsequently placed on a sheet and lifted up to the roadway. However, he was pronounced dead on arrival at the health facility.

An autopsy is expected to be conducted at the Forensic Science Centre.

Investigations are continuing by Officers of the Moruga Police Station.

More on this as it becomes available.
