Burnt Skeletal Remains Found In Arouca — Skull, Hands, Feet Missing
Burnt skeletal remains were discovered in a remote area of Arouca on Sunday afternoon (26th April, 2026), with its skull, hands and feet missing. The deceased has not yet been identified.
According to reports, Officers attached to the Arouca Police District responded to a call for assistance from Captain Vallance Rambharat of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), around 3:40 PM.
Upon arrival, the team directed Officers to a track off Zircon Circular in Bon Air West, approximately a quarter-mile from the main roadway, where they found what appeared to be burnt skeletal remains in a natural drainage area along the track.
Police said a preliminary assessment revealed that several body parts were missing, including the arms below the elbows, the feet below the knees, and the skull.
The HSRT were said to have been conducting searches in the vicinity of a stony watercourse, located approximately 500 feet from the home of a missing man, identified as Ezekiel John, when they made the gruesome find.
Investigations are continuing.
