49-Year-Old Man Stabbed To Death Near ‘Tip C Corner Bar’ In Tacarigua
A man is dead following a stabbing incident near a bar in Tacarigua last night (Sunday 24th May, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Nigel Foster of Thavenot Street, Tacarigua.
According to reports, Foster was liming near “Tip C Corner Bar” on Huggins Street, when he became involved in an argument with a man identified as 49-year-old Darryl Harding of Nayack Street, Tacarigua, around 6:30 PM. The argument soon escalated into a physical altercation, during which the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Foster once in the upper leg.
Foster ran from the scene before collapsing near the corner of Deosaran Street, while the attacker fled.
Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and Officers from the Arouca Police Station and an Ambulance responded to the incident. However, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) were unable to find any signs of life on Foster.
A District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned, who pronounced him dead.
Further reports state that the suspect, Harding, walked into the St. Joseph Police Station hours later, around 8:30 PM, where he was cautioned and arrested.
TThe suspect sustained several minor injuries during the altercation earlier, and was taken to the Hospital for treatment under Police guard.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing by Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region II.
