Ministry Clarifies Misinformation Regarding Online Fixed Penalty Notice Payments
The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said it is aware of “inaccurate and misleading information currently circulating on social media regarding the online payment of Fixed Penalty Notices.”
In a Media Release today (Friday 31st July, 2026), the Ministry is advising that members of the public “should exercise caution when relying on information from unofficial sources, as the circulation of inaccurate information has the potential to cause confusion and unnecessary concern.”
Members of the public are reminded to rely on official Ministry communications for accurate information and updates on matters under the Ministry’s responsibility.
Persons requiring information regarding the payment of Fixed Penalty Notices or the status of their records may contact the Traffic Enforcement Centre Unit (TECU) at 612-4682, extensions 53108 - 53111.
The Ministry said it “remains committed to providing members of the public with accurate, timely, and reliable information.”
