THREE (3) Vehicles Torched In Arson Attack At San Fernando Home — Police Investigating
Police are investigating a suspected arson attack at a home in San Fernando early Tuesday morning (7th July, 2026), in which three (3) vehicles were deliberately set ablaze.
According to the owner of the vehicles, Nigel Seenathsingh Nitalien, he had parked and secured his vehicles at his home in Union Hall the previous evening, before retiring to bed. However, around 2:45 AM, he was awoken by a neighbour who alerted him that his vehicles, a black Audi A6, an Isuzu D-Max and a Nissan Laurel, were on fire.
Police and Fire Services were notified and responded to the scene. Fire Officers from the Mon Repos Fire Station were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

Police said the Audi was completely destroyed, while the Isuzu and Nissan sustained extensive damage. The value of the losses has not yet been determined.
Nitalien said CCTV footage of the incident shows two (2) young men climbing over the back fence, dousing the vehicles with a flammable liquid and then setting them alight. One of the suspects appeared to have been burned/injured during the attack before both fled the scene.
The owner insists he has no disputes or conflicts with anyone and lives a quiet life.
Investigations are continuing into the apparent targeted attack.
More on this as it becomes available.
