Today: Cloudy, Overcast, Breezy, 70% Chance For Heavy Showers — Adverse Weather Alert In Effect; 29°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect cloudy to overcast and breezy/windy conditions today (Saturday 18th July, 2026), with occasional light to moderate showers and/or periods of rain occurring. There is also a high (70%) chance of a few heavy showers or thunderstorms. Improvement is expected by late afternoon/evening. Tonight will be settled, despite a few lingering showers. However, showers will increase in frequency and intensity after Midnight with a few heavy showers and thunderstorms also likely.
Gusty winds and street/flash flooding may occur near heavy showers and thunderstorms.
An Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) is in effect for Trinidad until 5:00 PM.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 29°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 31°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 2m to 2.5m in open waters and below 1m but choppy at times in sheltered areas.
