Today: Fair, Hazy, 30% Chance For Heavy Showers — Moderate Saharan Dust; 31°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect fair but hazy conditions today (Friday 24th July, 2026), interrupted by partly cloudy spells with showers, mainly over South Trinidad. There is a low (30%) chance of the isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm. Tonight will be generally fair, despite a few isolated showers.
Gusty winds and street flooding can occur in the event of heavy showers or thunderstorms.
The Met Office notes that a moderate concentration of Saharan dust is present in the atmosphere. Sensitive persons should take the necessary precautions.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 31°C at both Piarco in Trinidad and Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 1.5m to 2m in open waters and below 1m in sheltered areas.
