Today: Sunny, Hazy, Breezy, 40% Chance For Thunderstorm Activity — Moderate Saharan Dust; 32°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect generally sunny, hazy and breezy conditions today (Thursday 30th July, 2026), interrupted by partly cloudy spells with a few showers. There is the medium (40%) chance of isolated thunderstorm activity. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with scattered showers and the medium (40% to 60%) chance of the heavier shower or thunderstorm.
In the event of a heavy shower or thunderstorm, gusty winds and street flooding are possible.
The Met Office notes that a moderate concentration of Saharan dust is present in the atmosphere. Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 32°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 31°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 2m to 2.5m in open waters and below 1m and choppy near showers in sheltered areas.
