Fibre Optic Cable Disruption Affecting Licensing Division Services

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is advising members of the public today (Wednesday 26th August, 2026), that services at the Licensing Division are currently being affected by a fibre optic cable disruption involving one of the Ministry’s service providers.

In a Media Release, the Ministry said the disruption has “affected connectivity and, as a result, members of the public may experience delays or difficulty accessing certain Licensing Division services.”

The Ministry notes that it is currently “liaising with the service provider to have the issue resolved and normal services restored as soon as possible. A further update will be provided as additional information becomes available and progress is made toward the full restoration of services.”

The Media Release concluded by saying, “The Ministry thanks members of the public for their patience and understanding while the necessary remedial work is undertaken.”

Please be guided accordingly.
