Self-Employed Welder Shot Dead At House In Morvant — 11 Spent Shells Found
A man is dead following a shooting incident in Morvant on Tuesday morning (25th August, 2026). The deceased has been identified as Jabari Miller, also known as “Jah,” who was a self-employed welder.
According to reports, Miller was carrying out ceiling work at a house in Second Caledonia, Morvant, along with three (3) other people, when a lone, masked gunman entered the property and opened fire, shortly after 11:20 AM.
The gunman then fled the scene and Miller was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds about the body.
Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. The victim was subsequently conveyed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital (POSGH), where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Crime scene investigators recovered eleven (11) spent .40-calibre shells.
Police have not yet established a motive for this murder.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
