There is a low chance of the isolated thunderstorm, mainly over Tobago.
Gusty winds and street flooding can occur in the event of heavy showers or thunderstorms.
A Hot Spell Alert (Yellow Level) is in effect for Trinidad and Tobago until 31st October, 2026.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 33°C at both Piarco in Trinidad and Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves near 1.5m in open waters and below 1m in sheltered areas.
Recommendations for outdoor activities today:
Persons heading outdoors today should be prepared for hot conditions, with maximum temperatures reaching 33°C in both Trinidad and Tobago, and should stay hydrated, wear lightweight clothing, use sunscreen, and limit prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during the hottest parts of the day. Since scattered showers may become heavy or thundery over a few areas, it is advisable to carry an umbrella or rain gear and monitor the skies, especially during the afternoon. Motorists and pedestrians should exercise caution during heavy downpours, as gusty winds and street flooding may occur, while persons heading to the coast should note that seas are moderate, with waves near 1.5m in open waters and below 1m in sheltered areas. Those in Tobago should also remain alert for the possibility of an isolated thunderstorm, particularly later in the day.
