Today’s Weather: Hot, Hazy, Isolated Showers — Moderate Saharan Dust; 34°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect hot and hazy conditions during this afternoon (Tuesday 8th September, 2026), with occasional breezy periods and the odd isolated shower. Conditions will become partly cloudy to cloudy from this evening into tonight, with occasional showers and a low (30%) chance of a heavy shower or thunderstorm.
In the event of a heavy shower or thunderstorm, gusty winds are possible and street flooding is likely.
The Met Office notes that a moderate concentration of Saharan dust is present in the atmosphere. Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 34°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 32°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 1.5m to 2m in open waters and below 1m in sheltered areas.
