29-Year-Old Penal Man Charged With Home Invasion — Granted $75,000 Bail
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), a 29-year-old Penal man, charged with one (1) count of home invasion, was granted bail in the sum of $75,000, when he appeared before the Siparia Masters Court on Monday (12th October, 2026).
The TTPS said the accused, Peter Marshall of Penal Rock Road, Penal, was not called upon to plead to the charge. As part of his bail conditions, he is required to reside at his current address, remain at least fifty (50) feet away from the virtual complainant, and report to the Penal Police Station three (3) days per week.
The matter was adjourned to 30th November, 2026.
The charge stemmed from an incident which occurred around 1:00 AM on Tuesday 6th October, 2026, at a residence along Penal Rock Road, Penal.
The virtual complainant reported that she had secured her home and retired to bed when she was awakened by a noise. Upon opening her eyes, however, she observed a man whom she recognized standing over her in her bedroom, armed with a cutlass.
The woman raised an alarm, causing the suspect to flee through a back door on the Northern side of the premises.
Investigations were conducted by PC Ferguson under the supervision of Senior Superintendent Hospedales, Woman Superintendent Bridglal, Assistant Superintendent Chulhan, Inspector Maharaj, and Sergeants Sukram and Ramdath.
Following further enquiries and instructions from Woman Superintendent Bridglal, Marshall was charged with one (1) count of home invasion.
