Arouca CID Officers are investigating a robbery with violence in which a 37-year-old woman was relieved of $20,000 in cash in broad daylight in the car park of Trincity Mall, on Tuesday afternoon (20th October, 2026).
According to reports, around 12:15 PM, the victim withdrew $20,000 in cash from a bank in Trincity and then went to the Trincity Mall to get something to eat. Upon exiting the mall, she was in the car park near Pennywise when she was approached by three (3) men who announced a robbery.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said the suspects grabbed her purse, and a struggle ensued when she refused to let go. The men then struck her about the body before taking the purse, which contained the cash and some personal items. They escaped in a silver Nissan Tiida.
