A 72-year-old woman has been left traumatized after she was robbed of a pair of expensive gold beras outside the Chaguanas Market in broad daylight on Thursday afternoon (15th October, 2026).
According to reports, the elderly woman walked out of the market and upon reaching the corner of Market Street and Eleanor Road, she was approached by two (2) men, around 12:00 PM. The men announced a robbery and stole a pair of gold beras from the woman, valued at TT $5,000.
