TWO (2) Men Arrested In Alleged Warehouse Breaking And Larceny In El Socorro
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), two (2) men have been arrested following an alleged warehouse breaking and larceny at a construction site in El Socorro, San Juan, early Friday morning (30th October, 2026).
The TTPS said around 2:45 AM, Officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force (NEDTF), acting on information received from the Command Centre, responded to a report of suspicious activity at a building located at the corner of M.I. Trace and Boundary Road, El Socorro.
While proceeding along M.I. Trace, Officers reportedly observed two (2) men rolling an orange and black 100-pound oxygen tank along the roadway. The Officers intercepted the men and conducted searches, during which a bag containing several tools was found in the possession of one of the suspects.
Officers of the Barataria Criminal Investigations Department (CID) subsequently responded and contacted the site’s manager, who arrived at the location. Checks conducted at the premises revealed that a door on the Southern side of the building had been left open.
Further checks revealed that an oxygen tank, tools and a quantity of air-conditioning copper cables were reported missing. The site manager identified the recovered items as property which he had secured inside the building the previous evening.
The two (2) suspects, ages fifty (50) and fifty-six (56), were arrested and conveyed to the San Juan Police Station.
Officers of the North Eastern Division Crime Scene Investigation Unit processed and photographed the scene. However, no workable fingerprint impressions were recovered.
Investigations are continuing by PC Caraballo of the Barataria CID.
