TWO (2) Suspects Granted $250,000 Bail Each For Princes Town Home Invasion

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), two (2) men charged with three (3) counts of home invasion and possession of a weapon, following an incident in Princes Town during which a teenager was allegedly assaulted, have each been granted bail in the sum of $250,000.

The TTPS said the accused, Dane Nesbit, also known as ‘Frank,’ 43, and Elisah Bynoe, also known as ‘Elijah Anderson’ and ‘Waynee,’ 22, appeared before Master Goswami at the Princes Town South-B AJIPA Court on Monday (2nd November, 2026).

Neither accused was called upon to plead. They were each granted bail with surety in the sum of $250,000 and ordered to report to the Princes Town Police Station once per week, between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. They were also ordered to remain at least 500 feet away from the three (3) virtual complainants.

The matter was adjourned to Wednesday 14th April, 2027.

The charges stem from an incident which occurred around 5:20 PM on Wednesday 28th October, 2026, at an apartment along Lothians Road, Princes Town.

Reports indicate that three (3) persons were at the apartment when they were approached by two (2) men, allegedly armed with cutlasses, who threatened them. Two (2) of the victims managed to flee, while the third, a 16-year-old male, ran inside the apartment and secured the door.

The suspects allegedly broke a glass window to gain entry, assaulted the teenager and ransacked the premises. The victim was subsequently dragged outside to a nearby track, where he was allegedly assaulted again.

A subsequent check of the apartment also revealed that $5,000 in cash was missing from a bedroom.

Officers of the Princes Town Criminal Investigations Department (CID), along with members of the Home Invasion Team and other Officers, responded to the report, conducted enquiries and gathered information.

Based on intelligence, the Officers subsequently located both suspects along a track off Lothians Road, Princes Town, where they were arrested and taken to the Princes Town Police Station.

An interim file was subsequently submitted to the Superintendent, Area East, and instructions were received to proceed with charges.

The investigation was conducted by PC James, under the supervision of Snr. Supt. Hospedales, W/Supt. Bridgelal, ASP Chulan and ASP Sookdeo, with the assistance of Sgt. Teeluck and Cpl. Ramkissoon.
