Today: Fair, Partly Cloudy, Breezy, 30% Chance For Thunderstorm Activity; 31°C Max

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect fair to partly cloudy and breezy conditions today (Wednesday 26th November, 2025), with a few isolated showers. There is a low (30%) chance of the odd isolated thunderstorm. Tonight will be generally fair. The Met Office notes that gusty winds and street flooding can occur in the event of heavy downpours. The latest  5-day weather outlook  is available now. The forecast maximum temperature today will be 31°C at both Piarco in Trinidad and Crown Point in Tobago.  Seas are moderate with waves up to 2m in open waters and near 1m in sheltered areas.  Please continue to pay attention to the latest forecasts, alerts, and information issued by the TTMS.

NO Electricity On Wednesday In Parts of Aranguez, Cumuto, Longdenville, Claxton Bay, Barrackpore, Palmiste, Craignish

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of Aranguez, Cumuto, Longdenville, Claxton Bay, Barrackpore, Palmiste and Craignish on Wednesday (26th November, 2025). This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works.  According to T&TEC, the affected areas in Aranguez, Cumuto, Longdenville, Claxton Bay, Barrackpore, Palmiste and Craignish are as follows:  ARANGUEZ (9:00 AM to 2:00 PM) Rambhaju Street West from LP #51 to LP #54. CUMUTO (9:00 AM to 2:00 PM) Bramble Alexander Trace. Ministry Urges Continued Vigilance As Adverse Weather Alert Remains In Effect

The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government (MoRDLG) is advising that Trinidad and Tobago remains under an Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level) , issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) and currently in effect until 9:00 PM tonight (Tuesday 25th November, 2025). While weather conditions improved in several areas earlier today, the Ministry notes that runoff from sustained rainfall has led to rising water levels along the Caroni River , with levels expected to approach critical thresholds. Brief, localized overspill remains possible, particularly in flood-prone sections of the lower Caroni Basin. Smaller watercourses and drains may also become overwhelmed during heavier rainfall, especially near High Tide at approximately 7:03 PM. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of Port-of-Spain, Maraval, Woodbrook and San Juan on Wednesday (26th November, 2025). River Level Advisory [6:00 PM]: Caroni River At 94% Capacity And Rising

The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government is advising citizens of the River Level Advisory this evening (Thursday 25th November, 2025) following rainfall in various parts of the country.  El Carmen (Caroni River) is currently at 94% capacity, Caroni Tumpuna at 89%, followed by Caroni (Bamboo Settlement #3) at 71%. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), runoff from today's rainfall has led to rising water levels along the Caroni River, with levels expected to approach threshold values. Brief, localized overspill remains possible, especially in flood-prone sections of the lower basin. Smaller watercourses and drains may also become overwhelmed during heavier rainfall activity, especially near High Tide (7:03 PM). Watch: Bag With $120,000 In Cash Snatched From Man In Port-of-Spain

A shopping bag containing $120,000 in cash was snatched from a man near the steps of the Inland Revenue Building in Port-of-Spain on Monday afternoon (24th November, 2025). According to reports, the victim was approached by a man wearing a white t-shirt and an orange reflective vest, around 12:20 PM, who grabbed the bag and proceeded to walk away. However, the victim followed the suspect as he entered into the passenger side of a waiting silver Nissan B15 motor vehicle. The victim briefly held onto the suspect but released him as the vehicle began to speed away. The suspects then escaped. A 21-year-old man from Picton, Laventille, was arrested overnight in connection with the robbery. Investigations are continuing. More on this as it becomes available. [Source: Trinidad Express ]

Statement From Police Commissioner On Recent Online Threats And Incitement

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said it has observed with serious concern, the recent increase in social media posts in which individuals have made threats of violence against one another, as well as threats directed at Public Officials.  In a statement issued today (Tuesday 25th November, 2025), Commissioner of Police, Allister Guevarro, said, “Let me state unequivocally: this behaviour is unlawful, dangerous, and will not be tolerated. Freedom of expression is a right, and every citizen is free to share their thoughts and opinions. However, that freedom ends where criminal conduct begins. No one has the right to incite violence, intimidate others, or use online platforms to threaten harm. TWO (2) Men Caught With Stolen Toyota Axio In Penal Following Robbery With Violence

Quick response by Officers of the Penal Police Station led to the arrest of two (2) suspects and the recovery of a stolen motor vehicle, following a report of robbery with violence in the Debe district, early Sunday morning (23rd November, 2025). According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), around 3:30 AM, the victim, a 54-year-old man of Lowkie Trace, Penal, reported that he was walking along Ramrattan Maharaj Trace, Debe, in the vicinity of Home Stretch Bar, returning to his parked rented white Toyota Axio motor vehicle.  At that time, he was approached by two (2) men: a 21-year-old man, identified as Nathan Ramsundar of Dabiedial Road, Penal, and a 33-year-old man, identified as Anderson Harris of Spencer Avenue, Mon Diablo. Fallen Tree Alert — North Coast Road (Maracas)

The San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation - Disaster Management Unit (SJLRC DMU) said at 1:05 PM this afternoon (Tuesday 25th November, 2025), that it received a confirmed report of a fallen tree along the North Coast Road that took down power lines and is currently blocking the roadway, approximately five (5) minutes after the Pillars, heading to Maracas Bay.  The SJLRC DMU said the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) is on-site and requested support. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has been notified and is responding. SJLRC DMU saw operators are currently mobilizing to the scene. Motorists are urged to exercise caution.
