Suspect Arrested For Robbery With Aggravation In Princes Town

Officers from the Princes Town Police Station have successfully arrested a man in connection with a robbery with aggravation and possession of an imitation firearm that occurred on Saturday (25th January, 2025).

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), at approximately 10:30 AM, the victim, a 49-year-old account developer, was conducting sales at her mini-mart, located on St. Croix Road, Princes Town, when she was approached by a man known to her. The suspect, armed with a firearm, announced a robbery, demanded and took a quantity of assorted cigarettes and $676 in cash, before fleeing on foot into a bushy area opposite the business.

Following the report of the robbery, Officers from the Princes Town Police Station swiftly responded to the scene and proceeded to search the bushy location, where the suspect was seen. The suspect was later apprehended, and the stolen items were recovered.

Officers from CID are continuing investigations.
