Traffic Disruption: Bridge B1/18, Mayaro Guayaguayare Road — For SIX (6) Months

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure is advising the public of a temporary traffic disruption along the Mayaro Guayaguayare Road at Bridge B1/18.

This disruption was scheduled to begin on Monday (29th September, 2025) and is expected to continue for approximately six (6) months. The Ministry notes that works will take place from Mondays to Saturdays, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. This exercise is necessary to facilitate critical structural works on the B1/18 Bridge.

Considering the above, motorists are advised of the following:

  • Expect single-lane traffic during the stated work hours.
  • Observe all signage and follow the instructions of Traffic Control Personnel.
  • Exercise caution around the construction zone, as heavy equipment may be entering and exiting the site.

The Ministry said it “regrets any inconvenience and thanks the public for its co-operation as we work to improve safety and reliability along this roadway.”
