NO Electricity On Tuesday In Parts of Port-of-Spain, Maraval, Laventille, Las Cuevas, Caroni
The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of Port-of-Spain, Maraval, Laventille, Las Cuevas and Caroni on Tuesday (24th February, 2026). This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works.
According to T&TEC, the affected areas in Port-of-Spain, Maraval, Laventille, Las Cuevas and Caroni are as follows:
PORT-OF-SPAIN (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
- Charlotte Street, Espermaria Mall, Nagib Elias and Chinese Civic Association.
MARAVAL (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM)
- Along Morne Coco Road from pole #173 (ABS 365), after Mavenue Mini Mart to pole #T201 (ABS 171) and includes Lower Morne Rene Road, Villas of Les Boix, Toncabean Trace, Emmanuel Road, Hercules Drive, Herrera Trace and all associated side streets.
LAVENTILLE (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
- Along the Eastern Main Road from William Street to Unipet Gas Station, inclusive of Value Hardware, Innovative Power Systems, Seecharan’s Auto Spares Limited, Stanley's Wood Finishes Limited, DeBrett Building, S.D. Simpson Memorial Funeral Chapel, Pigalle's, Electrical Supplies & Services, Maranatha Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Lifestyle Motors, St. Matthias Anglican Church, Pashley Street (Southern side of the Eastern Main Road), Ganges Street, Xcalabar Auto Bodyshop 2000 Limited, Hosein Street and all associated side streets.
LAS CUEVAS (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
- Along Rincon Road all associated side streets.
CARONI (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
- LP #12 to LP #14 Laundry Road, Kelly Village.
In addition to the above areas, several other parts of Trinidad may also experience a loss of electricity on Tuesday (24th February, 2026).
T&TEC says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by these interruptions.
