Bomb Scare Triggers Lockdown At Mon Repos Fire Station — Suspicious Suitcase Found
The Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) South Divisional Headquarters in Mon Repos, San Fernando, was placed on lockdown from 3:23 PM to 5:27 PM on Tuesday afternoon (31st March, 2026), after a suspicious suitcase was discovered in the appliance room used by Fire Officers.
The item raised concern and triggered an emergency response from the bomb squad, supported by K9 units.
According to reports, following a thorough inspection, Officers found the suitcase contained empty rum bottles and posed no threat.
