Fake Text Messages Circulating Regarding Fixed Penalty Notice Payments

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is advising the public that text messages currently circulating, containing a link to pay Fixed Penalty Notices are fake and did not originate from the Ministry.

In a Media Release on Monday (11th May, 2026), the Ministry further advises that “these electronic messages are not issued by, affiliated with, or part of the Licensing Authority of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation. Members of the public are strongly advised to disregard these messages and avoid clicking on any links or sharing personal or financial information.”

The Ministry is reminding the public to “rely only on official Ministry communication channels for accurate information regarding the payment of Fixed Penalty Notices and other related services.”

The Ministry thanks the public for its continued vigilance and co-operation.
