Temporary Opening of Priority Bus Route Between Mt. Lambert And Curepe Junction
The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is advising the public that light motor vehicles only are authorized to use the Priority Bus Route (PBR) between Mt. Lambert and Curepe Junction from today (Monday 22nd June, 2026) to 1st July, 2026, between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM.
This temporary arrangement is being implemented to facilitate pavement-marking work associated with the Reversible Lane System along the Eastern Main Road and to help ease traffic flow during this period.
Motorists are advised to:
- Follow all traffic signs and the instructions of traffic personnel on-site.
- Expect temporary delays and use alternative routes where possible.
- Exercise caution when approaching work zones.
- Reduce speed and comply with all temporary traffic management measures.
The Ministry said it “apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks the public for its patience and co-operation as these important road safety improvements are undertaken. Your safety is our priority.”
Please be guided accordingly.
