TEN (10) Motorists Caught Driving Under The Influence In Port-of-Spain
Police arrested ten (10) motorists for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol during an early morning exercise conducted in Port-of-Spain on Saturday (25th July, 2026).
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), between 12:01 AM and 4:30 AM, Officers of the Port-of-Spain Division conducted a DUI operation along Park Street, Port-of-Spain.
During the exercise, the following persons were arrested for having a breath alcohol limit which exceeds the legally prescribed limit:
- A 48-year-old engineer of Blue Basin, Diego Martin;
- A 47-year-old British engineer;
- A 37-year-old packer of Woodbrook;
- A 36-year-old Government worker of Mary Street, Couva;
- A 47-year-old labourer of Broom Street, Diego Martin;
- A 38-year-old engineering technician of Diego Martin Main Road;
- A 43-year-old technician of Port-of-Spain;
- A 39-year-old marine auto electrician of Big Yard, Carenage;
- A 38-year-old project specialist of Sanchez Street, Arima; and
- A 26-year-old driver of Mc Lean Trace, Las Lomas.
The operation was spearheaded by Snr. Supt. Thom, Supt. Ramdeen, Supt. Baird and ASP Cadette.
