UPDATE (03/10/26): WASA said its executive team toured the Desalcott facility on Friday (2nd October, 2026) for an on-site update on the annual planned maintenance shutdown.
Crews have been working around the clock to keep the project on track for the October 4th completion, while truck-borne water services were deployed to support affected areas across Central and South Trinidad.
WASA notes that teams are actively monitoring the system and carrying out the necessary works to support the reliability of the water supply.
Customers are asked to plan accordingly and conserve water during this period.
