39-Year-Old Arima Man Charged With SECOND Murder Case
An Arima man, already facing murder and firearm-related charges, has appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with another murder and the attempted murder of a woman.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Renaldo Thomas, 39, of Sherwood Park, Arima, was charged with the murder of Bhyman Madhoo, attempted murder, possession of firearm and possession of ammunition, when he appeared before Master Lisa Singh-Phillip at the High Court, Criminal Division, on Wednesday 23rd September, 2026.
The Sufficiency Hearing date was set for 6th April, 2027.
The TTPS said Madhoo, aka “Bobby,” a gardener/construction worker, of Sangre Grande, was in the company of a woman, when he was shot and killed on Friday 11th September, 2026 in the Arima district.
A male suspect was arrested on 15th September, 2026 at his home by Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region II, in connection with the matter.
Investigations were supervised by ASP (Ag.) Victor, W/Insp. Sylvester, Sgt. Radhaykissoon, Sgt. Gordon and Legal Officer, PC Subiah, all of HBI Region II.
Thomas was charged on 22nd September, 2026 by PC Matthews, also of HBI Region II, following advice received from Acting Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Anju Bhola, on that same date.
