Today’s Weather: Hot, Sunny, Medium Chance For Heavy Showers; 34°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect initially hot and sunny conditions today (Monday 28th September, 2026), becoming partly cloudy in some areas (mostly Tobago, the Windward Islands and Western Trinidad), with isolated showers and a medium chance for an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm activity.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 34°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 33°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 1.5m to 2m in open waters and below 1m in sheltered areas.
Recommendations for outdoor activities today:
Persons heading outdoors today should stay hydrated, use sunscreen, wear lightweight and breathable clothing, and seek shade or take regular breaks from the heat, particularly during the hottest part of the day. It would also be advisable to carry an umbrella or light rain gear, as isolated showers and the possibility of a heavy shower or thunderstorm may develop, especially over Tobago, the Windward Islands and Western Trinidad. Motorists and pedestrians should exercise caution if sudden heavy rainfall occurs, as gusty winds and temporary street flooding are possible near heavier showers. Marine interests should also exercise caution, with moderate seas producing waves of 1.5m to 2m in open waters, although conditions are expected to be calmer in sheltered areas.
Please continue to pay attention to the latest forecasts, alerts, and information issued by the TTMS.
