Chopped Up BODY Found In Claxton Bay Dump — Police On The Scene
UPDATE 2: According to the latest reports, the gruesome discovery was made shortly before 12:00 PM on Friday, when a truck arrived at the Claxton Bay landfill to offload shredded material from a company in a large metal waste bin. However, when the bin was raised to release its contents, the lids of several white “pigtail” buckets opened, spilling what appeared to be human remains. Fingers were reportedly clearly visible among the material.
The remains, found in approximately five (5) buckets, appeared to have been chopped up into pieces, possibly by machinery, before being placed inside the buckets. Police were alerted and Officers from the Couva Criminal Investigations Department (CID) responded to the scene. The remains were subsequently removed from the site, around 3:00 PM.
It is unclear at this time exactly how many bodies were chopped up before they were taken to be dumped in the landfill.
UPDATE: Reports state that the human limbs and body parts found allegedly came from the San Fernando General Hospital. They were supposed to be disposed of by a company contracted to handle medical waste. However, it is alleged that the body parts were instead dumped at the Claxton Bay landfill.
Investigations are continuing into the gruesome discovery.
